Weekend Top Picks: Jazz on the Lawn, Downtown @ Sundown and Movies in the Park

CLARKSVILLE, TN (NOW CLARKSVILLE) – It’s summer festival weekend in Clarksville, with three big mainstays of the summer ahead.

Jazz on the Lawn: The next big show, featuring Tina Brown, is Saturday from 3-9:30 p.m. at Beachaven Vineyards and Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane. Tyme opens at 3 p.m. and Tina Brown at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, 17 and under free.

Downtown at sunset: The Eagles Project and the Eagles Tribute Band will perform Friday from 7-10 p.m. at the Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St. The event is free and food trucks will be in attendance. Bring a blanket or lawn chair.

movies in the park: Saturday’s movie, starting at sunset, will be “Ralph Breaks the Internet”, at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and come hungry as we will have food available for purchase from the on-site food vendors. Please leave pets and alcohol at home. Pre-show activities and performances start approximately one hour before the start of the show.

The purple color: The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., presents the musical version of this story by Alice Walker on Friday and Saturday evenings, for the closing weekend. Tickets are $35 (adults) and $15 (10 and under).
