The Montreux Jazz Festival has partnered with OneOf to bring environmentally sustainable NFTs to fans. OneOf is a Web3 green company and this NFT collection will feature artists from the Montreux Jazz Festival.
The NFT collection will feature artists like London designer Camille Walala and French artist Greg Guillemin. Montreux really wants to showcase all the amazing artists that have performed at its festival. In addition, to develop this bond between the artists and the fans.
“Innovation has always been at the heart of the Montreux Jazz Festival“, says CEO Nick Bonard. The company feels that NFTs will give them the opportunity to support and collaborate with artists.
The partnership with OneOf will enable the integration of Web3 and NFTs into the economic model of Montreux in a sustainable way. The festival takes place this summer from July 1 to 16 and is held on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The NFT collection will be minted on the Tezos blockchain and will include 5 Guillemin NFTs priced at $20 each. The artwork includes portraits of Diana Ross, John Legend, Ashnikko, Woodkid and Arlo Parks.
As previously mentioned, One of is an eco-friendly Web3 company and they recently partnered with Warner Music Group, iHeart Media and the Grammy Awards. Plus, showing that they have a lot of experience in the music industry.
Finally, Montreux Media Ventures seeks to create a long-term sustainable NFT model, starting with this first collection. Additionally, they plan to include experiential packages as well as a funding tool for young emerging artists in the future.
