India News | Kochi Metro Hosts Jazz Music Night for German Musicians

Cochin (Kerala) [India]July 18 (ANI): Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) and Goethe-Zentrum jointly organized an evening of jazz music on Sunday evening to commemorate the famous German musician Stephanie Lottermoser in Kochi.

This was organized to encourage German artists.

Besides Stephanie Lottermoser, other jazz artists such as Alex Eckert, Achim Seifert, Silvan Strauss took part in the musical evening.

Stephanie Lottermoser is one of Germany’s best-known jazz musicians. In her mix of jazz, soul, funk and pop and the combination of saxophone and vocals, she has developed her own musical language.

Goethe-Zentrum, one of the organizers of this program, is a non-profit German cultural institution with a global network and committed to promoting the German language outside of Germany. It has two branches in Kerala, namely Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

Meanwhile, in May this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chancellor Olaf Scholz signed a joint declaration of intent establishing the Indo-German Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development.

The meeting between the two leaders and the intergovernmental consultation chaired by them were followed by the signing of six other documents, including those for the implementation of triangular development cooperation projects by India and Japan in third countries, cooperation in the field of partnership on renewable energy and restoration of the forest landscape.

The two countries have also signed an agreement on a global partnership on migration and mobility as well as another on the creation of a working group on green hydrogen. (ANI)
