Liam Hendriks (forearm) will kick off a mock game on Friday

MLB.com’s Scott Merkin reported on Twitter that White Sox closer Liam Hendriks is set to kick off a mock game on Friday. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantastic Impact: Hendriks would have felt good after Monday’s bullpen session. White Sox manager Tony La Russa has said he hopes his closest can return to the club in this next home stand. Chicago is set to start a seven-game home game starting Monday against Minnesota.

Mookie Betts will resume baseball activities on Wednesday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is expected to return to baseball activity on Wednesday, according to SB Nation’s Eric Stephen on Twitter. (Source: SB Nation)

Fantastic impact: This is fantastic news for Betts and fantasy managers. The All-Star right fielder was originally reported as potentially returning in two weeks time on June 19. This was obviously not the case at all. However, this is the first big step towards a comeback for Betts. Prior to going on the shelf, the 29-year-old was boasting MVP-like numbers.

Tommy Pham scratched on Tuesday with a stiff back

Tommy Pham was ruled out of Tuesday’s game against the Cubs with a stiff lower back. Max Schrock replaced him in the lineup. (Source: Mark Sheldon on Twitter)

Fantastic Impact: The injury doesn’t seem serious, but keep yourself posted. Neither the Reds nor Fantasy managers will be happy if Pham leaves for IL as he is having a great rebounding season. On the year, he is hitting .254 with 10 HR, 5 SB and 43 runs scored.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. leaves Tuesday’s game with right lower back discomfort

Jazz Chisholm Jr. was pulled from Tuesday’s game against the Cardinals with lower right back discomfort. (Source: Jordan McPherson on Twitter)

Fantastic Impact: Chisholm had missed the last two games with back pain, so it’s certainly concerning that he left Tuesday’s game in the second set. It’s just an discomfort at the moment, but considering Chisholm has been fighting for a while, the Marlins may be looking to give him an extended rest. The team are expected to update Chisholm’s status after the game but, for now, take it day by day.
