A 21-year-old man is currently fighting for his life in the hospital following a shooting incident that authorities believe was a deliberate act of violence.
The emergency services, including armed police units, responded swiftly to the scene on Higher Road in Urmston, Trafford, at approximately 8:40 PM on Friday, January 17.
According to the latest updates from Greater Manchester Police, the young man is being treated and remains in a critical but stable condition as he battles his injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this troubling event. Chief Inspector Darren Lomas addressed the situation, stating, "This appears to be a targeted attack, and thankfully, there is no broader risk to the community. It is reassuring to note that incidents of this nature have become increasingly rare in Greater Manchester." To enhance public safety, additional patrols will be present in the area throughout the weekend and into the following week.
